Novena to Loss out in the world!

Novena to Loss and Other Love Poems has had a soft opening for a bit, but soon it will be out in the world officially. On October 18th, (4:00 pm – 5:45 pm Pacific) Moonpath, the publisher who awarded the book ‘Honorable Mention’ in its Sylvia Albiso Contest (2025), will introduce the collection in an on-line zoom session.  I’ll be joined by Glenna Cook, who is introducing her new book, Traveling Light. Lana Hechtman Ayers, Publisher at Moonpath, will be moderating the session. If you want access, please ask me for the registration link. E-mail me at Kathleen.obrien2011@gmail.com.

On November 6th, I’ll be offering an in-person reading at my hometown bookstore Eagle Harbor, on Bainbridge Island, Washington (6:30-8:30 pm). I’ll be joined by Michele Bombardier, the Island’s Poet Laureate (2024-2025), who was the first to proclaim, “Kathleen, you have a book!” No need to register, but if you're in town, please come. Michele will share a few of her poems and introduce me.  There’s a special place in my heart for Michele, who literally held the mic for me when I could not do it myself. I'll be reading and taking questions.
